About Eric Maier

Eric Maier is a lifelong Lower Moreland resident, small business owner, firefighter, EMT, fire officer, and code professional who has spent decades serving his community both in emergencies and in everyday life. He began volunteering at age 16 and went on to serve for more than 36 years with the Huntingdon Valley Fire Company, rising to battalion chief, earning Life Member status, and over 10 years concurrently with the Bryn Athyn Fire Co. as a volunteer firefighter/EMT. Eric has built a career in public safety, serving as fire marshal, fire investigator, instructor, and municipal code professional.

 

Eric has been recognized for heroism and lifesaving service, including commendations for a 151-foot high-angle cathedral rescue and for helping save a life through successful CPR. His background is defined by courage, calm under pressure, and a commitment to helping and protecting others.

Professionally, Eric has worked in construction, manufacturing, local government, fire code enforcement, emergency response, teaching, and owns a small business. He served Lower Moreland Township as an International Code Council (ICC) Certified Fire Marshal and building code professional. He taught skilled trades, technical, and protective services courses at Eastern Center for Arts and Technology and owns Therapeutic Pain Management Center, LLC.


A graduate of Lower Moreland High School, Montgomery County Community College (Fire Science & Emergency Management), and Harris University, Eric has earned extensive fire, building, emergency management, and public safety certifications.


He has spent his life solving problems, helping people, and working across disciplines to get results. That is the same practical, common sense leadership he wants to bring to Harrisburg: protect families, fight for affordability, and work with anyone — Republican, Democrat, or Independent — when it means delivering what is good and right for the community.
